Skechers was founded in 1992 in Manhattan Beach, California, by Robert Greenberg, who had previously built and lost LA Gear. It grew into one of the largest footwear companies in the world.
The watches are a licensed extension of that, and they are what they look like: casual quartz pieces, sized and coloured to sit alongside the trainers, priced accordingly. There is no watchmaking history here and the brand does not claim any.
Skechers holds 8 models, from £27 to £50. Half cost less than £31, and a quarter less than £27. Prices are checked nightly against the retailers’ own feeds.
