The Happy Sport began in 1993 as Caroline Scheufele's answer to a question nobody in fine watchmaking had thought to ask: what happens if you let the diamonds move? The three small stones that drift freely between the sapphire crystals on the dial are not set, not fixed, not arranged — they migrate with the wrist, which changes the watch completely and is the reason it has outlasted almost every fashion watch of its era. At 30mm this is the smaller of the two round Happy Sport sizes, and it wears accordingly — close to the wrist, light, comfortable against a narrow wrist or layered with other pieces. The white rubber strap is a sharper, more contemporary reading of the watch than the metal bracelet options; the crown is set with a blue sapphire cabochon, a detail that repays a closer look. A second black strap ships with it, so the register of the watch can shift without changing the watch itself.
