Stepping up in Bremont's range
The Supermarine line has always been Bremont's most serious diving range, but previous generations wore their ambitions heavily on the wrist. This 40mm GMT addresses that directly: at 13mm thick with a 48mm lug-to-lug, it carries 300-metre credentials without the bulk that usually comes with them, sitting closer to the wrist and fitting under a cuff in a way most watches rated to this depth will not. The Tundra colourway earns its name through the gradient green dial, which shifts in intensity across its surface and reads differently in shade than in direct light. Orange on the GMT hand and select indices cuts through that green with enough contrast to locate a second time zone at a glance, and the two colours of Super-LumiNova — blue on the main indices, green on the GMT hand — preserve that distinction after dark, keeping the two hands distinguishable without looking at the dial twice. The movement inside is chronometer-certified and built around an Anachron balance spring, a Nivaflex mainspring and a Glucydur balance wheel — components chosen for mechanical stability rather than specification padding. The 904L bracelet's infinity-shaped links and push-button micro-adjust clasp, combined with a quick-release fitting, mean the watch can be transferred to a rubber strap without tools, which matters if it is actually going in the water.

Learn more about Bremont
Nick and Giles English founded Bremont in 2002, four years after their father died in a plane crash that Nick survived. All three had restored and flown vintage aircraft together, and the brand that emerged is inseparable from that. The name comes from Antoine Bremont, a French farmer who sheltered the brothers after an emergency landing.
Bremont set out to rebuild British watchmaking, which had effectively ended in the twentieth century. The early watches used Swiss movements in British-designed cases, with the Trip-Tick three-part case construction and a hardened outer barrel treated to over 2000 Vickers.
The military and aviation work is real rather than thematic. Bremont holds contracts with squadrons across the RAF, the US Air Force, and other services, producing issued watches for specific units, and has made watches for Martin-Baker ejection seat survivors — tested to the ejection forces themselves.
The company has also built watches incorporating material from historical objects: oak and copper from HMS Victory, aluminium from the Wright Flyer, and steel from Bletchley Park.
The manufacturing ambition advanced with the opening of a facility in Henley and the release of the ENG300 series in 2021, the first Bremont movement designed and largely made in England. Production is in the low tens of thousands annually.
