Press the crown and the front and back cases open simultaneously, converting a pocket piece into something closer to a travelling timepiece. The skeleton window cut into the dial is the honest part of the design — the 17-jewel movement, wound daily through the crown, is visible behind the Roman chapter ring rather than hidden beneath it. The small seconds sub-dial sits low on the dial, giving the whole face a formal, unhurried symmetry. Rose gold PVD on polished metal reads warmer than steel and holds its appearance without the fragility of electroplating. The Albert chain that comes with it is matched in finish, which matters — a mismatched chain would undermine the whole effect.
