Stepping up in Lorus's range
Lorus sits within the Seiko Watch Corporation family, and the Classic collection is where that connection shows most clearly in the movement. The PC32 calibre inside this watch is a Seiko-derived quartz mechanism with a battery life of around three years and accuracy to within roughly 30 seconds a month — dependable enough that it simply does not ask much of its owner. At 41mm across and 10.4mm thick, the case has a genuinely flat profile that keeps it unobtrusive under a shirt cuff. The light blue sunray dial has a pressed pattern finish that shifts between tones as the light moves across it, giving the face more presence than a plain dial at this size would have. Baton markers keep the layout clean, and the date sits at three without crowding anything.
