Lorus sits within the Seiko group, and the VD57 movement inside this watch is a direct expression of that relationship — a Japanese-made quartz calibre held to the same manufacturing standards as the movements Seiko fits to its own sports ranges, with a rated accuracy of ±20 seconds per month. At 45mm the case reads large on the wrist, but 63 grams on a leather strap keeps it from feeling like a burden through the day. The black sunray dial handles the chronograph layout tidily, with sub-dials at six, nine, and twelve and the date display angled between four and five — a small departure from the usual framing that prevents the dial from feeling overcrowded. Yellow markings against the black ground read clearly in low light, and the blue tachymeter bezel gives the whole thing a colour combination that sits closer to motorsport than office.
