The skeleton dial is the whole point of the exercise here, cutting away the dial plate to leave the Miyota 8N24's balance wheel and gear train visible, framed by the trident logo and backed by an exhibition caseback that continues the view from the other side. The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
