Stepping up in Maserati's range
The Successo collection takes its cues from Maserati's racing background, and that influence is most visible in the brown sunray dial, where rose gold-tone hands and indices sit against a surface that shifts as the light moves across it. The trident at 12 o'clock anchors the automotive reference without overstating it. At 10.7mm thick, the case wears considerably flatter than most chronographs at 42mm, which means it clears a shirt cuff without the usual bulk. The butterfly clasp keeps the underside of the bracelet uninterrupted, and link adjustment is straightforward with standard push pins — no specialist tools required.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
20mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
