Stepping up in Olivia Burton's range
The Sports Luxe collection is Olivia Burton's attempt to put a feminine, dressed-up finish on a form that is usually reserved for durability and function. This piece commits to that idea fully: the case, the bracelet and the dial sit in the same blush tone throughout, with rose gold accents and crystal markers on the sunray dial providing the only contrast. The result reads as intentional rather than assembled. At 36mm, ceramic carries its weight well — lighter than steel of the same dimensions, and noticeably smooth against the skin. The folding clasp with its double push-button release gives the bracelet the kind of secure, considered closure that ceramic link constructions need, since the material does not flex to compensate for a loose fit the way a mesh or leather strap would.

Learn more about Olivia Burton
Lesa Bennett and Jemma Fennings started Olivia Burton in London in 2012, coming from fashion rather than watchmaking and treating the watch as an accessory to be designed rather than a instrument to be engineered.
That showed in the product: illustrated dials, floral and bee motifs, applied three-dimensional details, mesh and leather straps in soft colours. The bee became the signature, and the brand found a large audience among buyers who wanted something with a point of view at under £200.
Movado Group acquired the company in 2017, placing it alongside Movado, Ebel, Concord and MVMT. Production and distribution run through Movado; the design identity has stayed recognisably its own.
The watches are quartz and the appeal is the artwork, not the movement — which is a fair description of what the brand set out to do in the first place.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
No. At 30m it will survive rain and handwashing, but not submersion of any kind.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
16mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's, though at 36mm it sits in the range that suits anyone.
