The cushion-shaped case follows the profile of the original 1969 El Primero reference, here rendered in microblasted titanium at 37mm across and 12.6mm deep. The matte surface finish carries through the aesthetic of a blackened prototype from the 1970s that the watch takes as its starting point. The matte black dial omits both the seconds track and date window, leaving the grey sub-dials — 30-minute counter at three, 12-hour counter at six, small seconds at nine — to do the work. Rhodium-plated baton indices and faceted hands are coated with Super-LumiNova. The domed sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective treatment. The El Primero 4061 column-wheel movement runs at high frequency with a 50-hour power reserve. A black rubber strap with a cordura-effect textile finish closes with a microblasted titanium pin buckle.
