The Thrill Chronograph is where Aston Martin's licensing partnership with HLC moves closest to the cars themselves. The dial's textured grid pattern is lifted from the marque's front radiator grille — not an abstraction of it but a direct translation, and it reads clearly on the wrist because the black ground gives the raised structure somewhere to cast shadow. The signature-coloured sweep and counter hands reinforce the connection without making it heavy-handed. The solar movement charges under natural or artificial light and holds enough reserve to run for several months on a full charge, which in practice means this watch will never need a battery change unless something goes wrong. The screw-down crown is appropriate for a watch rated to 100m, and the green silicone strap is an obvious nod to the racing livery — functional in use and easily swapped at 22mm.

Aston Martin has built cars since 1913, when Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford set up in London, and the name has carried a particular kind of British grand touring ever since.

Aston Martin does not make movements or cases; it signed a long-term agreement with Timex Group in 2025, with the first watch and jewellery collections arriving that autumn. Timex holds similar licences for several names sold well above its own price point.
