Stepping up in the same colour and case shape
The Candor is where Hugo Boss steps away from the quartz movements that fill most of its range and commits to something mechanical. There is no great watchmaking heritage behind that decision — this is a fashion house, and it wears that honestly — but choosing a self-winding movement at this end of the market does change what the watch is and how it ages with its owner. At 41mm with an ice-blue dial and baton indices, it reads cleanly without demanding attention. The bracelet and case share the same steel tone, which gives the whole thing a composed, unbroken look on the wrist. The deployant clasp makes daily removal more considered than a simple fold-over would, and at 11.6mm the profile is reasonable for a bracelet watch worn through a working week.

Hugo Boss was founded as a clothing manufacturer in Metzingen in 1924. The modern company is a global fashion house, and its watches are produced under licence by Movado Group.
The watch line reflects the clothing: German minimalism, sparse dials, brushed steel, and a general absence of decoration. Movements are quartz or bought-in automatic. These are not manufacture watches and are not presented as such.
