Stepping up in Diesel's range
At 51mm across, the Mega Chief is a deliberately large watch, with an industrial crown guard that pushes the overall width further still. The stainless steel case is 12mm thick and carries a polished silver finish. Behind the mineral crystal sits an iridescent light blue dial arranged with index hour markers, a single Arabic numeral at 12 o'clock, and three chronograph sub-dials tracking seconds, minutes, and tenths. The silver-toned hands carry luminous treatment for low-light reading, with a date window at 3 o'clock. The brown textured leather strap is 26mm at the lug and fastens with a stainless steel pin buckle. At around 133 grams, the watch has a substantial presence on the wrist. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
