At 57mm across and 14mm thick, this is a substantial round case that makes no attempt to go unnoticed. The black dial is framed by a stainless steel case with copper-tone accents on the bezel and case, adding warmth against the darker elements. Chronograph sub-dials and a date function populate the dial, with luminous hands and indices for low-light legibility. A 28mm black leather strap with buckle clasp supports the 142g weight across the wrist. Mineral crystal sits over the dial, and water resistance reaches 30 metres.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
