Diesel built the Mega Chief around a single conviction: that a watch should be impossible to overlook. At 59mm on its long axis, it commits to that fully — this is not a watch that disappears under a cuff or reads quietly from across a room. The black ion-plated case and matching bracelet keep the silhouette coherent rather than busy, while rose gold accents on the dial give it enough contrast to hold the eye without breaking the all-dark mood. The chronograph sub-dials are legible at the scale the case demands, and the push-button deployant makes the bracelet more manageable on the wrist than the size might suggest at first handling. It suits someone who wants the watch to do most of the talking.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
