Diesel's Framed collection takes its name from the bold border that contains the dial — a design choice that turns the bezel into a graphic element rather than a functional one, giving the watch a deliberately industrial, oversized character that reads more streetwear than traditional horology. The orange dial is the whole point of the face here: it punches hard against the black PVD case, and the guilloché texture on the chronograph subdials keeps the surface from looking flat under direct light. On the wrist, 44mm in black PVD sits with a certain weight and presence, and the black leather strap grounds the colour without competing with it.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
