The Moneta name comes from the Roman goddess on whose temple steps coins were minted — it is the root of the word money itself — and Frederique Constant has carried that etymology into the design, pressing a fine fluted pattern around the inner bezel ring that echoes the milled edge of a coin. It is a quiet detail, easy to miss on first glance and hard to ignore once seen. At 37mm the case sits close to the wrist without pressing against it, and the brown leather on a plain buckle keeps the whole thing unpretentious.
