Stepping up in Guess's range

Price range £65 to £245 across 121 Guess watches in stock.

The Emperor's most distinctive feature is its geometric case — an octagonal form in polished and brushed recycled stainless steel that sits 41.5mm across and 10.1mm deep. The blue sunray dial shifts shade as the light changes, with Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock and baton indices filling the remaining positions. Luminous hands aid legibility in low light. A 26mm integrated stainless steel bracelet fastens with a double push-button deployant clasp, keeping the overall silhouette clean and cohesive. Mineral crystal sits over the dial, and the watch carries 50 metres of water resistance.

Learn more about Guess

The Marciano brothers founded Guess in Los Angeles in 1981, building it on denim and advertising that became as well known as the clothes.

The watch line is produced in-house through Guess Watches and Sequel AG, and follows the brand's aesthetic closely: crystal-set bezels, heavy gold and rose gold plating, oversized cases, and dials that favour decoration over legibility. Movements are quartz.

The watches are priced as accessories and sold as such.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch

Can I swim with it?

Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.

Water resistance explained

Will the glass scratch?

Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.

Sapphire, mineral and acrylic compared

Does it need a battery?

Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.

Quartz, automatic and solar compared

What size strap does it take?

26mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.

Is it a men's or women's watch?

Listed as men's.

Cheapest place to buy
