At 28mm and 7.6mm thin, the Giselle sits on the wrist more as a cuff than a conventional watch — the bracelet's sculptural links building toward a crystal-set 'G' centrepiece that makes the brand's presence felt without relying on the dial to do it. That dial is encircled by a ring of stones that mirrors the bezel, so the whole face reads as a single jewelled disc rather than a watch face with decoration added around it. The G-Link bracelet adjusts by hand, individual links opening and closing without tools, which matters more than it sounds on a piece worn this close to other jewellery — sizing it to stack cleanly takes seconds rather than a trip to a jeweller.

The Marciano brothers founded Guess in Los Angeles in 1981, building it on denim and advertising that became as well known as the clothes.
