The Murph began as a prop — Hamilton built it for Christopher Nolan's *Interstellar*, and it became the centrepiece of the film's central conceit: Cooper tapping out data in Morse code through the seconds hand to his daughter across dimensions, the word "Eureka" rendered in lacquer on that same hand. That is not marketing mythology grafted on later; it was designed into the watch from the start. The Field collection behind it has genuine military roots, Hamilton having supplied the U.S. Air Force with field watches through the 1960s and 1970s, and soldiers before that in the 1940s. The Murph inherits the utilitarian Arabic numerals, cathedral hands and satin-finished case that came from that tradition. The H-10 inside is built on the ETA C07.611 and wound to an 80-hour reserve, which means leaving it on a Friday evening and picking it up Monday morning without touching the crown. The dial carries inner 24-hour markings that most owners take a week to notice, and the see-through caseback puts the movement in view whenever the watch comes off. This box set pairs the watch with both a black leather strap and a stainless steel bracelet on the same 22mm lug, so it is genuinely two configurations rather than a dressed-up single option. Given where the leather and the bracelet each sit aesthetically, the watch reads quite differently between the two.
