The Khaki Navy Scuba Auto GMT arrived in 2025 as the travel-ready extension of a line Hamilton introduced at 43mm in 2021. The Scuba has always sat as the more accessible end of Hamilton's dive range, and the GMT complication here is a practical one: the red hand marks a second time zone against the bezel's 24-hour scale, while the bidirectional bezel itself adds a third — a genuinely useful arrangement for anyone crossing more than one region at a time. At 13.9mm thick the case is not especially slim for a diver, but 300 metres of water resistance with a screw-down crown and flanking crown guards means no concession has been made to keep it there. The applied hour markers — trapezoids at the quarters, dots elsewhere — are filled with light green Super-LumiNova and outlined in grey on this steel version, which keeps the palette controlled against the black dial. The H-14 movement underneath is an ETA-derived calibre shared across Swatch Group brands including Certina and Mido, offering an 80-hour reserve and a Nivachron balance spring that resists magnetic fields without needing a soft-iron cage. That reserve is genuinely useful on a travel watch; you can leave it on the nightstand for three nights and pick it up still running.
