This example, limited to 500 pieces, is built in 18ct pink gold and carries GMT functionality alongside the date, which places it at a particular point in that lineage: a travelling watch in formal clothes. The frosted silver dial is well-suited to the case metal, the 24-hour scale and railroad minute track giving it more visual content than a standard two-hander without disturbing the classical register. Roman numerals and gold-toned hands keep the reading straightforward in any light.
