The Mini version distils that intention further, with its rectangular case housing a round silvered dial inset like a coin in a frame. That Cosmo dial carries painted Roman numerals and blued hands, and the small seconds at six gives it a complication without disturbing the symmetry. At 6.75mm thick, it disappears under a cuff, which is precisely what this kind of watch is for. The black alligator strap keeps it anchored to the wrist without the slightly rigid feel of the steel bracelet alternative, and the polished steel of the case works with it rather than against it.
