The DolceVita line traces back to a 1920s Longines rectangular case, and the proportions here still carry that period logic: portrait orientation, softened corners, a form that reads as dress jewellery rather than as anything sporty. The flinqué dial — a silver ground worked with an engine-turned pattern beneath its lacquer — catches raking light in a way a plain dial does not, and the blued steel hands sit cleanly against it. The green alligator strap is a considered choice at this width, adding colour without competing with the dial. At 7.20mm thick, the case disappears under a shirt cuff, which is the whole point of a watch this shape. The Longines medallion on the caseback is a small detail, but it confirms this as a current production piece rather than archive stock.
