The Baker sits within Marc by Marc Jacobs' more considered end of fashion watches — a 36mm case that wears closer to jewellery than to a sports piece, kept deliberately light by the monochromatic rose gold dial and case against a cooled grey leather strap. That contrast is the whole design logic: warm metal, cool strap, nothing else competing for attention. The sunray-finished dial rewards a second look. The hour markers spell out M, A, R, C across the one-to-four positions, with crystal dot indices elsewhere — typographic and restrained at once. The small seconds sub-dial sits off-centre at six o'clock, giving the dial an asymmetry that stops it reading as plain.
