Maserati R8873612060 Traguardo Chronograph Bracelet Watch - W81245
Ref. R8873612060
Sits in Maserati’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Maserati watches we list, which start at £104.
Price range £104 to £419 across 78 Maserati watches in stock.Traguardo translates from Italian as "finish line," and the collection wears its motorsport allegiance openly: the tachymeter bezel is there to calculate speed over distance, the green skeleton dial exposes the chronograph mechanism beneath, and the Maserati trident sits at twelve o'clock where a racing driver might expect a tachometer needle. The whole thing reads as a dashboard instrument scaled for the wrist. At 45mm it is a sizeable piece, though 12.4mm of thickness keeps it from feeling bulky — it sits flatter than most chronographs at this diameter. The green openworked dial rewards a second look, the layered registers becoming clearer as the eye adjusts. On the bracelet, alternating matte and polished links add texture without complication, and the dual push-button deployant clasp makes removal straightforward once the links have been sized to fit via the friction-pin system.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
