Stepping up in Maserati's range
Traguardo means finishing line in Italian, and the name signals exactly what this watch draws on: Maserati's motorsport identity, translated into case architecture and dial layout by Morellato under licence. The instrument-cluster arrangement of the sub-dials and the trident at twelve read less like decoration than like a dashboard transcribed onto a wrist. At 45mm across and 13mm deep, it sits large and makes no apology for it. The sunray green dial shifts under different light in a way that keeps the chronograph registers legible without flattening the whole face into one tone. The black silicone strap has a green accent stripe that ties it back to the dial, and the pin buckle adjusts simply through moulded holes — no tools, no fuss.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
22mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
