Stepping up in the same dial colour
The Maude line traces back to a watch that belonged to Michael Kors' grandmother, and that origin is visible in every proportion here: the oval case, the fluid pill-link bracelet, the absence of hour markers on the sunburst dial. At 21mm this reads entirely as jewellery, draping the wrist rather than sitting on it. The bracelet is the design's centrepiece — a continuous run of rounded links that moves with the wrist rather than against it, fastened with a deployant clasp that makes the piece easier to get on and off than a traditional bangle would be. At 100 grams it has enough presence to feel considered without being heavy for something this small.
