Stepping up in Michael Kors's range
The Bradshaw was Michael Kors making a deliberate case that a 43mm chronograph with Roman numerals on a black dial is not a men's watch worn by women but something designed from the start with that scale in mind. At 180 grams on the wrist, it has the heft of a serious sports piece, and the black dial against polished and brushed gold PVD gives it a contrast that reads clearly rather than ostentatiously in most light. For a watch this large it wears with reasonable practicality — the folding clasp is secure without fuss, and links remove via friction pins, so fitting it correctly takes a few minutes rather than a trip anywhere. The 24-hour subdial and date at six sit alongside the chronograph registers without crowding the dial, which is a minor achievement at this level of complication on a fashion piece.

Learn more about Michael Kors
Michael Kors founded his label in New York in 1981 and built it on accessible American luxury. The watches are produced under licence by Fossil Group and have been among the highest-volume fashion watches sold worldwide.
The design leans decorative: gold and rose gold plating, pavé crystal settings, oversized chronograph subdials that are frequently non-functional, and bracelets that echo the jewellery line. Movements are quartz.
These are styling-led accessories, priced accordingly, and they are honest about what they are.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
22mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Will it fit my wrist?
Lug-to-lug is 50mm, which suits wrists from roughly 16.5cm (6½ inches) upward.
Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's.
