Stepping up in Michele's range
The Deco Madison Mini is Michele's compact entry into art deco territory — a rectangular case with Roman numerals and mother-of-pearl that draws a straight line back to the dress watches of the 1920s and 30s. At 24mm it is built for slimmer wrists, and the proportions are considered: the rectangular shape reads as jewellery without abandoning legibility. The 122 hand-set diamonds, totalling 0.43 carats, run across the bezel and dial surround, and against the mother-of-pearl face they catch light in a way that shifts through the day. The bracelet is engineered on Michele's quick-release pin system, meaning any standard 12mm Michele strap swaps in without tools — which matters on a watch whose dial changes character entirely depending on what it is worn on.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
12mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's.
Cheapest place to buy
Goldsmiths is the only UK retailer we track stocking this reference, so there is nothing to compare it against today.
Who are Goldsmiths?
Goldsmiths has been selling watches in Britain since 1778 and is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are an authorised dealer, so a watch comes with the manufacturer’s own warranty.
