The Mini Trésor sits within Omega's De Ville line as the piece built around a specific material argument: Moonshine Gold, the brand's proprietary 18-carat alloy developed to hold a warmer, paler yellow than standard gold while resisting fading over time. Here it goes further than a case and bracelet in that alloy — 38 single-cut diamonds follow the curve of the case flank, and the crown carries a single diamond set within a red liquid ceramic flower motif, which is the kind of detail that takes the watch well outside decorative territory and into something more deliberately jewelled. The Grand Feu enamel dial is the quiet centre of it. Enamel fired at high temperature produces a depth that printed or lacquered dials do not, and the domed surface here catches light unevenly — it reads differently against a white sleeve than it does indoors. The Roman numerals are black against the off-white ground, which keeps the dial legible rather than purely ornamental. At 26mm with a lug-to-lug of just over 31mm, it sits very close to the wrist; the mesh bracelet, embossed with a tight textile-like texture in the same solid gold, drapes rather than sits rigid, which matters at this scale. The caseback is a metallised sapphire panel with a mirror backing etched in Omega's "Her Time" pattern — not visible in normal wear, but worth knowing about. The Calibre 4061 runs on a long-life battery system rated to roughly 48 months, which removes a routine service obligation for several years.

Learn more about Omega

Louis Brandt began assembling pocket watches in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. His sons moved production to Biel in 1880 and, in 1894, released a calibre whose parts were fully interchangeable and which could be serviced by any watchmaker with standard tools. They named it Omega. The movement was successful enough that the company took its name.

Omega's history is bound up with measurement in public. It became official timekeeper of the Olympic Games in 1932 and has held the role for most Games since, which drove genuine engineering: photo-finish cameras, touchpads in swimming pools, and the timing systems that made hundredths of a second meaningful.

NASA qualified the Speedmaster for manned spaceflight in 1965 after testing chronographs from several manufacturers to destruction, and it was on Buzz Aldrin's wrist on the lunar surface in 1969. The watch has never been substantially redesigned.

The Seamaster line dates to 1948 and covers everything from dress watches to saturation diving instruments. Omega's technical position strengthened considerably after 1999 with the adoption of George Daniels' co-axial escapement, the first genuinely new escapement to reach series production in two centuries, and more recently through Master Chronometer certification testing resistance to magnetic fields at 15,000 gauss.

The company has been part of the Swatch Group since its formation.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch

Can I swim with it?

No. At 30m it will survive rain and handwashing, but not submersion of any kind.

Will the glass scratch?

Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.

Does it need a battery?

Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.

What size strap does it take?

13mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.

Will it fit my wrist?

Lug-to-lug is 31.13mm, which suits wrists from roughly 15cm (6 inches) upward.

Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.

Is it a men's or women's watch?

Listed as women's.

Who are Goldsmiths?

Goldsmiths has been selling watches in Britain since 1778 and is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are an authorised dealer, so a watch comes with the manufacturer’s own warranty.
