The Aquis Pro 4000m is the technical ceiling of Oris's dive range — not a collaboration, not an anniversary piece, simply the answer to the question of how deep a titanium Aquis can go. Unveiled at Geneva Watch Days in 2023, it rates to 400 bar, four times the pressure ceiling of the standard AquisPro, and the case architecture required to achieve that accounts for most of what makes this watch what it is. At 49.5mm across and 23.4mm thick, it reads immediately as something other than a recreational diver. The thickness is the more demanding dimension: reviewers who tested the 4000m against the 1000m sibling found the thinner watch wore considerably better, and the top-heaviness here is real. Titanium keeps the weight from being punishing, and the caseback geometry settles neatly against the wrist, but this is not a watch you wear and then forget. The ceramic bezel insert runs its full scale in lume, and the rubber edge is cut for a positive grip with gloves — details that only make sense if you consider who actually dives at these depths. The Calibre 400 earns its mention. Presented in 2020 as Oris's first fully in-house movement, it carries a silicon escapement, rates better than chronometer standard, and stretches service intervals to a recommended ten years — a genuine shift from the watch industry's usual rhythm. Five days of power reserve means it survives a working week off the wrist without resetting, and the indicator on the dial tells you exactly where it stands.
