The True Square began as Rado's demonstration of what ceramic could do that metal cannot: a square monobloc case formed in a single injection, no joints, no inserts, no concessions to the difficulty of the shape. The result is a case that is genuinely light for its presence on the wrist — 120 grams across the whole watch, bracelet included, which for a full ceramic construction reads as a surprise the first time you pick it up. The open-heart dial earns its place here because the movement is worth seeing. The R734 runs a Nivachron hairspring, which resists magnetic fields without a Faraday cage, and is rated to 80 hours of reserve — tested across five positions, not just the one that flatters. Through the sapphire caseback window the same picture repeats from the other side. The square case keeps the dial geometry strict, and the black-on-black palette means the skeleton work reads as depth rather than decoration, shifting with the light rather than announcing itself. The clasp is titanium against the ceramic bracelet — a practical choice, since the adjustment mechanism benefits from metal, and titanium keeps the overall weight honest.
