Stepping up in the same dial colour
The 1895 collection takes its name from the year Rotary was founded in Geneva, and this piece draws directly from the archive — the proportions, the applied baton indices, and the jewellery-link bracelet all point to the cocktail watches Rotary was making when the company was young. At 19.5mm it sits closer to a bracelet charm than a conventional watch face, which is precisely the register it is aimed at. The bracelet carries more of the design than the dial does. The textured linking and the hidden butterfly clasp read as a single continuous piece of jewellery rather than a watch on a strap, and the white dial with its gold batons is restrained enough not to compete with it.
