The Gentleman line reaches back to Tissot's 1960s dress watches, and the Open Heart sits within it as a quiet argument that a movement window need not announce itself. The aperture is placed with restraint — enough to reveal the oscillating balance and connect the watch to its mechanical origins, not so large that the grey rhodium dial loses its composure. At 40mm with a 48.6mm lug-to-lug span, it wears slightly fuller on the wrist than those numbers alone suggest, though the rounded bezel keeps the dial from reading as large. The curved horns follow the wrist naturally. Beneath the domed, anti-reflective sapphire, the applied faceted markers and pencil hands carry SuperLumiNova, which earns its place on a watch rated to 100m. The Powermatic 80.601 is an evolution of ETA's long-proven 2824 architecture, extended here to an 80-hour reserve and fitted with a Nivachron balance spring — a non-ferrous alloy that resists magnetic interference better than traditional steel. The movement is visible through both the dial aperture and the exhibition caseback, which gives the owner two ways to read the same piece of engineering.
