Stepping up in Vivienne Westwood's range

Price range £140 to £325 across 50 Vivienne Westwood watches in stock.

The Little Seymour takes its name from Seymour Place in Marylebone, where the Seymour family kept their London townhouse. The 32mm case is a considered reduction from the 38mm Seymour, trimming the silhouette without losing any of the architectural detail that defines the collection: the pyramid-studded bezel, the dot hour markers, and the signature Orb at the dial centre all carry over intact. The warm grey sunray dial shifts with the light in the way such finishes do — flat in shade, animated at an angle — and the gold-tone hands read clearly against it. The two-tone bracelet handles that contrast in a different register, alternating brushed and polished links across five rows, with the join between case and bracelet feeling deliberately considered. At 90 grams the watch has enough presence on the wrist to feel substantial without the bulk that heavier bracelets can bring to a 32mm case. The butterfly clasp sits flush and opens cleanly, and sizing is done by pressing out links mechanically — straightforward to adjust, and not reversible by accident.

Learn more about Vivienne Westwood

Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren opened a shop at 430 King's Road in 1971, and over the next few years it became the outfitter of British punk. Westwood went on to become one of the most decorated designers Britain has produced, with the orb logo — a sovereign's orb with a Saturn ring — as the house signature from 1987.

The watches are licensed rather than made in-house, produced under agreement by a British accessories manufacturer and sold through department stores and jewellers.

They carry the house language directly: the orb on the crown or the dial, tartan and heritage-check straps, asymmetric cases, and a willingness to be decorative that most watch brands avoid. Quartz movements, fashion pricing.

Westwood died in 2022. The house continues, and the watch line with it.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch

Can I swim with it?

Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.

Water resistance explained

Will the glass scratch?

It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.

Sapphire, mineral and acrylic compared

Does it need a battery?

Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.

Quartz, automatic and solar compared

Is it a men's or women's watch?

Listed as women's.
