The case is CuSn8 bronze, and it will patina with wear, pulling the red dial's character along with it as the two age together. That dial is a sandwich construction, so the lume reads as depth rather than surface paint — the indices appear to float above a lower layer, which catches even low light with more presence than a flat printed equivalent.
