Worth checking before you buy: whether the crown screws down, whether the bezel insert is ceramic or aluminium, and whether the bracelet offers micro-adjustment. Those three decide how the watch behaves in use.

For swimming and snorkelling, a watch at this level will keep water out without difficulty. Recreational diving is a different question, and one where a serviced watch with a documented pressure test matters more than the figure printed on the dial.
