Stepping up in Burberry's range
A circular 38mm case in yellow gold PVD-plated stainless steel keeps proportions neat at 8mm thick. The silver dial carries a stamped check finish and gold-plated baton indices, with luminous gold-plated hands and a seconds hand. The date sits at three o'clock. Sapphire crystal protects the dial, and water resistance reaches 50 metres. The 20mm strap pairs white leather on the outside with beige Haymarket check fabric on the reverse, fastening via a yellow gold PVD pin buckle.

Thomas Burberry opened a draper's shop in Basingstoke in 1856 and invented gabardine in 1879 — a breathable weatherproof fabric that clothed Antarctic expeditions and British officers in the trenches. The trench coat is his.
The watches are produced under licence and carry the house check on dials and straps, with Swiss quartz and automatic movements in generally restrained cases.
