Stepping up in Burberry's range
A 38mm stainless steel case with a rose gold-plated finish, polished and brushed, keeps proportions neat on the wrist. The dial is stamped with Burberry's heritage check pattern in tan, with rose gold-tone stick indexes and luminous hands. A date window sits at three o'clock. The sapphire crystal resists scratching, and the Swiss quartz movement runs to 20mm of calfskin leather strap in neutral tan, fastened with a pin buckle. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres.

Thomas Burberry opened a draper's shop in Basingstoke in 1856 and invented gabardine in 1879 — a breathable weatherproof fabric that clothed Antarctic expeditions and British officers in the trenches. The trench coat is his.
The watches are produced under licence and carry the house check on dials and straps, with Swiss quartz and automatic movements in generally restrained cases.
