This particular piece leans hard into that ambiguity: a vertical rectangle that runs 27mm from lug to lug against only 22mm of width, the proportions of a dress ring scaled up and set in gold PVD, worn on a matching link bracelet that reads as jewellery first and horological object some way after. At that size it sits close to the wrist and close to the bone, and the all-gold monochrome means it registers as an accessory before the dial is read.
