Gucci G-Timeless watch, 29mm
Ref. YA1265072
Sits in Gucci’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Gucci watches we list, which start at £499.
Price range £499 to £8,130 across 56 Gucci watches in stock. The G-Timeless is Gucci's long-running dress watch line, and this 29mm version represents its most jewellery-forward expression: a yellow gold-plated bezel set with 66 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.444 carats, wrapped around a sunray silver dial where two further diamonds serve as hour markers and the Interlocking G sits at twelve. At 29mm the case sits with the discretion of a fine bracelet rather than announcing itself, and the three-link bracelet — adjustable across a wide range of wrist sizes via dual push-button deployment clasp — integrates closely enough that the whole piece reads as a single object. The anti-reflective sapphire keeps the dial clean and visible without interrupting that jewellery quality. There is no lume, which is the correct decision for a watch whose hands and markers are meant to catch light rather than generate it.

Learn more about Gucci
Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
Gucci's watches occupy unusual ground. Unlike most fashion houses, Gucci produces in Switzerland through its own facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the watches carry Swiss Made designation. The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's.
Cheapest place to buy
Goldsmiths is the only UK retailer we track stocking this reference, so there is nothing to compare it against today.
Who are Goldsmiths?
Goldsmiths has been selling watches in Britain since 1778 and is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are an authorised dealer, so a watch comes with the manufacturer’s own warranty.
