Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.

The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.
