The G-Gucci collection's defining gesture is its bezel, shaped into the Gucci double-G and worn as much as it is read — this is a watch conceived as a bracelet that happens to tell the time, and the square 32mm case sits within that logic rather than against it. Three brilliant-cut diamonds mark the 12, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the black dial, spaced so that the negative space between them does as much work as the stones themselves. The polished link bracelet is designed to flow continuously from the case, so the watch disappears into the wrist as a single piece rather than sitting on top of it.

Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
