The GG2570 was Alessandro Michele's exercise in geometric nostalgia — a cushion-shaped outer case enclosing a conventional round dial, the whole thing a deliberate echo of 1970s watch architecture, with the name itself drawn from Michele's personal lucky number. That framing matters: this is not a sports watch made comfortable, but a fashion object built with just enough Swiss discipline to take it seriously, assembled in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The sunbrushed blue dial carries a subtle textured pattern that shifts with the light, and the cushion case in mixed brushed and polished steel gives it more visual weight than a 41mm round would. The strap is the signature detail — heavy woven nylon in Gucci's blue-red-blue web stripe, unmistakably house in a way that the restrained dial is not.

Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
Gucci's watches occupy unusual ground. Unlike most fashion houses, Gucci produces in Switzerland through its own facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the watches carry Swiss Made designation. The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.
