Guess GW1132G2 Carver Sun Green Dial Silicone Strap Watch - W96449
Ref. GW1132G2
Sits in Guess’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Guess watches we list, which start at £65.
Price range £65 to £245 across 140 Guess watches in stock. The Carver packs a considerable amount of display into its dial — chronograph, GMT, moonphase, day-date, small seconds, power reserve, and a tachymeter scale on the bezel, all running from a solar movement that sidesteps battery replacement entirely. At 44mm in gold PVD with a black silicone strap, the contrast is deliberate and uncomplicated: the warm case draws the eye and the strap keeps it wearable in warm weather without the weight of a metal bracelet. The dial earns attention as much for organisation as for what it shows. Fitting this many complications onto a single face without it becoming illegible is a real editorial challenge, and Guess have leant into the density rather than hiding it — this is a watch that rewards a moment's study.

Learn more about Guess
The Marciano brothers founded Guess in Los Angeles in 1981, building it on denim and advertising that became as well known as the clothes.
The watch line is produced in-house through Guess Watches and Sequel AG, and follows the brand's aesthetic closely: crystal-set bezels, heavy gold and rose gold plating, oversized cases, and dials that favour decoration over legibility. Movements are quartz.
The watches are priced as accessories and sold as such.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
No. It charges from light, and the cell behind that is designed to last a decade or more.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
