The Hugh belongs to Guess's fashion-forward line of rectangular dress watches, a case shape with a long association with formal dressing that the brand has leaned into fully here — gold PVD case, gold dial, crocodile-embossed black leather strap, the whole composition aimed squarely at an evening or occasion context. At 29mm wide and 9mm deep, the rectangular proportions read as deliberately slender rather than understated. It disappears beneath a shirt cuff completely, which is partly the point of a watch this shape, and the contrast between the black strap and all-gold hardware gives it enough definition to register when the cuff is rolled back.
