Longines La Grande Classique 29mm Ladies Watch

Launched in 1992, La Grande Classique has long been Longines' argument for the round dress watch done simply and done well. This 2022 reference adds a green dial to that formula — a colour that reads as considered without demanding attention — and sets twelve Top Wesselton VS-SI diamonds at the hour positions in place of the usual applied indices. At 29mm and just 4.5mm deep, it sits flush on smaller wrists and disappears beneath a cuff without bulk. The EOL indicator on the L420 movement is a practical addition that often goes unmentioned on a watch of this type: when the battery nears exhaustion, the seconds hand shifts to four-second jumps, giving fair warning before the watch stops.
