The PRX traces its roots to a 1978 integrated-bracelet design that Tissot revived in 2021 — first in quartz, then with a mechanical movement once it became clear the collection had an audience that wanted one. The mint green dial variant arrived in 2023, the honeycomb pattern cut into the surface giving the colour somewhere to go: flat light reads it as a muted sage, angled light breaks it into geometry. At 35mm it wears closer to 37mm in practice, partly because the bracelet leaves the case at 24mm and fills the wrist accordingly. The thickness is the one trade-off the automatic movement demands — fractionally more than the quartz version — but it is not unreasonable, and on a wrist under 17cm the proportions hold well. The screw-down crown is worth noting: it keeps the depth rating honest and adds a deliberateness to the winding ritual that suits a watch with a movement on display through the caseback. The Powermatic 80 calibre — built by ETA on a Nivachron balance spring — carries 80 hours of reserve, which in practice means the watch is still running on a Monday morning if you set it down Friday evening. The rotor visible through the caseback is decorated rather than functional-plain, which is the right call for a watch whose character is largely about finish.
