The DolceVita line traces its rectangular case back to the shaped wristwatches Longines made in the 1920s, a form the house revived formally in 1997 and has kept in continuous production since. The proportions — narrow in width, longer in height — are a direct quotation of that interwar template, unchanged in outline across every generation of the collection. At 20.8×32mm and just 6.90mm deep, this is a watch that disappears under a cuff and reads clearly when the wrist turns. The silver flinqué dial has a engine-turned texture that catches light differently as the angle shifts, and the blued steel hands sit against it with enough contrast to be read quickly. Roman numerals at the hours and a small seconds sub-dial at six give the layout a restrained formality. The blue alligator strap places this reference apart from the red-strap sibling — cooler, slightly more versatile with greys and navies — and fastens with a simple pin buckle that keeps the proportions honest.
